Iv'e got a nasty virus on my computer it pretends to be a a security warning?

Ive tried avg and spybot search and destroy but nothing seems to shift it. it's in my right hand box beside the time. It keeps on popping up with a message about there being spyware on the computer and if i click on it, it takes me to a website selling spyware protection.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of this thing for free

http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.p... this will get rid of it, trust me.

BTW stop looking at free porn clips cause thats where is comes from, I'm right??

Norton will not get rid of it.

find out what spyware protection it is, check the list on the web site i gave you, if its there that program will get rid of it, if you dont get rid of it it will keep poping up on your toolbar and your home page will always take you to that spyware protection.

Oooo i get a thumbs down for helping someone get rid of there malware problem, jealous minds out there.

Download Kaspersky Free trial and update, install, do a FULL scan which will take awhile but it will find and remove it. If not, go to Bitdefender.com and do the online scan. Do you mind telling me which exact site it takes you to? Whatever you do, don't download anything it says. Also, try Superantispyware and Security Task Manager to Quarantine any active threats. It will show what looks to be high risk.
Go to Norton of McAffee web sites. Cut and paste the verbiage into their search windows. Often, they have a removal method for such pervasive infestations.
Try System Restore.
