Why would people fight viruses and not switch to linux do they like having a hard time?

It only makes sense to run a dual boot or 2 differant hard drives if you need to run windows apps but why does everybody keep on fighting a loosing battle with viruses and spyware. Linux is not that hard these days it just isnt. Its free, secure, fast, and stable. knowing all that and booting both linux and MS on the same box why do they continue to throw away money to bill gates and all the AV and firewall people. look at all the questions about I have a virus HELP PLEASE. Isnt it obvious that most people simply cant surf the net with windows and stay safe. Even the few that do stay safe often spend a bunch of time fixing and upgrading and patching there computers. So the big question is WHY????

One day the masses will wake up and realise that Linux is easy to use, detects and installs 90% of drivers for hardware 'better than Vista.

Is far superior graphics wise, it doesnt hog system resorces and is far more secure.

I run Linux without any protection at all.

No firewall, No antivirus, No antispyware.

No Problem.

Try doing that with Windows.

It is a shame so many are in denial when it comes to Linux, they really don't know what they are missing out on.
