ok i KNOW i have a dvd burner because i have used it before plenty of times, but now i can't, when ever i try i get an error message saying "ONE OR MORE FILES FAILED TO COPY CORRECTLY. THE COPY MAY HAVE BEEN CANCELED OR THERE MAY NOT BE ENOUGH FREE SPACE TO COMPLETE THE COPY. FREE SPACE 4.57 GB"
but the thing is im trying to copy something that is less than 500MB and i have about 4-5 GB free on my harddrive that's plenty of enough space if it wanted to make a copy before burning. and the dvd is blank also and i am using the same brand of dvd's that i used before so there isn't a problem there, and i can burn to CD-R, i also did diskclean up a few times, virus scan and spyware scans just in case.
so why can't i burn to my dvd's now?
I have a problem coping files to my DVD-R cd?internet security software
I stand corrected, but I don't think size of your file is taken into consideration by the DVD copy software. It expects you to have a minimum of 4.5 gig free space because that's the size of the DVD. You can easily delete junk from your hard disk to free up vital space. Download CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com, install and run it. It will delete hundreds of unwanted files from all over the place. It cleans out your Windows temp files, Internet temp files, the recycle bin and lots of other stuff you may miss. Then run Issues (second menu item) to repair your registry.
