Keeping Your Computer Safe?

1. How many antivirus programs should I use?



2. How many firewalls should I have?



3. How many aniti spyware programs to have?



4. How many ad ware programs?



5. How many anti rootkits programs should I have?



6. How many registry cleaners should I have? (anyone know of any good free ones?)



7. How many phishing programs should I have (I need a good free one)



8. How many pop up blockers should I have (I need a good free one)



And how often should I run antivirus and all that?

I would run scans about once a week to once a month depending on how much you use the computer. Running these programs in Safe Mode (tap F8 as the computer boots up and choose to boot to safe mode) can be more effective.
