Alrighty...?

Can someone please tell me a good website where I can download a program that will take away spyware and that can protect it. Please give me something that is FREE and DOES NOT slow my computer down.

You can have one or the other, not both.

Do a search for AVG.

Lavasoft offers a nice scanner of spyware. Unfortunately, it does not offer realtime protection unless you want to buy it. But you can schedule regular scans (i.e. during shutdown or twice a week, etc.) which is sufficient for most people.
I have used Lavasoft Adware and Spybot Search %26 Destroy

Adware. Both are freeware and work pretty well. Just make sure you are downloading the correct programs.
